We’re a nonprofit based in Houston, Texas, founded to normalize brotherhood, wellness, and mutual care for men of color and beyond.

MEET OUR FOUNDER: BRANDON GIBSON

For Brandon Gibson, the question “You good, bro?” isn’t just small talk — it’s a lifeline. As a Firefighter Captain with more than 15 years of service, Brandon has seen men carry the weight of the world on their shoulders while pretending everything is fine. He’s also lived it himself.

In 2021, after years of witnessing the silent struggles of the men around him — coworkers, friends, and neighbors — Brandon decided it was time to change the narrative. He created You Good, Bro? to open doors for conversations that too often go unspoken, and to provide real resources that remind men they don’t have to go through life alone.​

​

Brandon isn’t just a first responder — he’s a husband, a father, a man of faith, and a believer in the power of brotherhood. He knows what it feels like to push through hardship, and he knows the healing that comes from community, connection, and someone simply asking if you’re okay.​
